First, Confirm there is NO BURN BAN  in place.

Second, review the FAQs for outdoor burning provided by the Travis Co. Fire Marshal. 

Three, please fill out this form and submit no less than 48 prior to ignition. The Travis County Fire Marshal's office and the Austin Fire Department dispatchers will be notified.
